Administrative Tools and Search Configuration
Outline
In this module, you will learn how about Convert Pages, Change Log, License Information and Search Configuration in Optimizely CMS. These administrative tools will aid in configuring and managing CMS websites.
After completing this module, you should be able to:
- Use Convert Pages to change a page and understand its implications.
- Locate and interpret the Change Log to see a history of system changes.
- View and manage License Information.
- Configure Search providers so your site’s search works as desired.
Convert Pages
Convert pages feature which allows administrators and developers to change a page (and optionally its sub-pages) from one page type to another. Useful when content templates evolve and you need existing pages to use a new page model.
Change Log
Change Log feature is a tool for administrators and developers to track changes within the system. It captures system-level changes, configuration updates, or administrative actions. It helps administrators audit which changes have been made, when, and by whom (especially useful during troubleshooting or governance).
Third Party Licenses
This provides a very concise instruction on how to access license information within Optimizely CMS. It displays your active licenses, license number, and features available.
Search configuration
Search configuration outlines how to configure search settings within Optimizely CMS, primarily for administrators and developers. It refers to how your site’s search engine is set up—what is indexed, how results are ranked, how filters/facets behave, etc.
Here is a quick demo on the listed features to get a better understanding on how to use them:
