Outline

Welcome

In this module, you will learn how to effectively create, manage, and process requisition requests in Configured Commerce.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

  • Identify the roles needed to set up requisitions
  • Enable requisitions on your website
  • Describe the requisitions process on the website

Why use Requisitions?

Requisitions allow specific users to request items, then send those items to an aggregated line item list to be approved by a designated approver. These items can be consolidated into one or more orders, and may qualify for quantity break pricing.

How do I benefit from Requisitions?

Learn more about how these features benefit different roles, both inside and outside your organization.

  • Customer Service: If your customers require a requisition workflow, you can make that service available to them on your website without making it complicated for your team to maintain the requisition process. Configured Commerce allows you to assign roles and approvers in the Admin Console, ensuring that your website users experience a streamlined and personalized checkout process.
  • Researcher/Buyer:  Many manufacturing and distribution companies have some kind of requisition process in place. Configured Commerce makes it easy to build in the rules and requirements so your requisition process happens smoothly on your site, without having to fill out paper forms and track down individuals to manually sign off and submit your requisition.
