Account & Login

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
  1. Click on "Forgot password"
  2. Type in the email associated with your account
  3. Click "Submit"
  4. If you have an existing account in our system, you will be sent a password reset link. If you do not receive the link, check your spam or junk folders.
Do I need to create an account to access the Academy? Yes, you need to create an account and log in to access the platform.
Can I register with my personal email or do I need to use my work email? You should use your work email address as your primary email when creating an account, and your personal email as a backup email address.
How can I update my email or profile details?
  1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
  3. On the Account Settings page, you can update details such as your first name, last name, email address, company, job title, and more.
  4. After making changes, scroll down and click “Save” (if available) to apply the updates..

eLearning, Live Training & Recordings

Where can I find product-specific eLearning materials? You can access all eLearning materials by clicking on eLearning in the top navigation bar or selecting it from the Topics menu, by clicking eLearning. You can also access the eLearning collection directly here: eLearning
Where can I find all upcoming events/sessions? You can access all our upcoming events/sessions by clicking on Events in the top navigation bar or selecting it from the Topics menu by clicking on Events. You can also access all upcoming events directly here: Events
How do I enroll in a live training session? To join a session, just click the blue Enroll button next to the session you want to attend. After enrolling, you’ll receive two emails: an enrollment confirmation email immediately, followed by another email containing an invite.ics file that you can add directly to your calendar.
Where can I find recordings of past training sessions? You can find recordings from past sessions by navigating to the Topics menu, selecting Events, and then choosing Event Recordings from the submenu. You can also view the event recordings directly here: Recordings
Will I receive a recording if I was enrolled but wasn't able to attend the session? Yes, if you were enrolled in that particular session, you will receive an email with the recording afterward, except for Office Hour sessions, as those are not recorded.
How soon after a live session is the recording available? Recordings are typically available within one week to 10 business days after the live session, once the editing process is complete.

Certification Exams

Where can I learn more about the certification exams? You can learn more about certification exams by navigating to the top menu, selecting Certification or by selecting it from the Topics menu on the catalog page by going to Topics > Certification. How do I purchase and start a certification exam?
  1. Log in to Optimizely Academy using your Opti ID or email/password
  2. Go to Certification Exams
  3. Select your exam, scroll to payment, and click Pay with Card
  4. Once payment is complete, click Access Content, accept the disclaimer, and then click Launch when you're ready
Do I need an account to take an exam? Yes, you’ll need to create an account in Academy using your work email before purchasing an exam.
How long do I have to complete the exam after purchasing? You’ll have 14 days to complete the exam from the date of purchase.
What if I don’t pass the exam? If you don’t pass, you must wait 24 hours before attempting again. You can retry multiple times within the 14-day window. If you're unable to pass the exam within that time, you’ll need to repurchase it.
Can someone else purchase the exam for me, or can I transfer it to another person? No. Exams are non-transferable, and the exam should only be purchased or redeemed by the individual who intends to take it.

Do you offer any prep sessions to help me get ready for exams? Yes, we offer Exam Prep Sessions to help you get ready for your certification exams.
What types of exam prep sessions are available? We currently offer two types:
  1. Individual Seats – $300 per person
  2. Dedicated Company Sessions – $2,500 for your whole company

Opt-Up Program

What is Opt-Up Program? The Opt-Up Program is a self-paced training pathway designed to help eligible developers learn Optimizely and receive a free certification voucher upon completion.

Please note: The Opt-Up Program is exclusive to Optimizely Partners — only individuals from registered partner organizations are eligible to apply.

Where can I learn more about Opt-Up Program and how to apply? To access the Opt-Up Program, either go to the top navigation bar and select “Partners”, then choose “Opt-Up Developer Certification Program”, or hover over “Topics”, select “Partner Training” from the dropdown menu, and then click “Opt-Up Program” in the submenu. How can I get a voucher code? Once your application has been reviewed and passed, you can request a voucher code by emailing us directly at education@optimizely.com

Access and OptiID

How does my customer or partner get access to Optimizely Academy? They should go to Optimizely Academy and sign in with Opti ID.
What if my Customer or Partner does not have Opti ID? Please encourage Customers and Partners to Get started with Opti ID and have them manually create a login using their company email address in the meantime.
What if a learner has an existing login but now wants to sign in with Opti ID? If the same email is used for a manual login and Opti ID, the learner can simply sign in with Opti ID. If emails do not match between credentials or progress in Academy for some reason does not transfer, have the learner reach out to support@optimizely.com.
Who should Customers, Partners, and Optimizers contact with access issues? If anyone is experiencing login or access issues, they should reach out on their own behalf to support@optimizely.com. so troubleshooting can be expedited.
