Connecting to Data Sources
Outline
Welcome
Welcome to the Data Source Connection module. In this section, you'll learn how to establish secure connections between Optimizely Analytics and your cloud data warehouse. These connections are the foundation that allow Analytics to run queries and deliver insights from your raw data in real time.
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
Understand what a data source connection is and how it works within Analytics.
Identify which cloud warehouses are supported.
Create and manage data connections from the application setup or directly from the Catalog.
Delete unused or outdated connections when necessary.
What is a Connection?
A connection acts as a secure data pipe between Optimizely Analytics and your data warehouse. It enables Analytics to issue live queries directly against your warehouse, so your data stays where it is—no duplication or syncing required.
You can configure these connections as part of your application setup or later via the Catalog. Once established, they form the backbone of every dataset, query, and exploration in Analytics.
