Outline

In this module, you will learn about the Archived Tests Gadget in Optimizely CMS. This gadget is related to the A/B testing functionality and provides a quick way to review tests that have been run and archived. By understanding how to add and manage this gadget, you can track past experiments and their details directly within the CMS interface.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

  • Add the Archived Tests gadget from the settings menu
  • Access and review details of previously archived A/B tests
  • Understand the common gadget settings, including removing gadgets and additional options available in other gadgets

Adding the Archived Tests Gadget

To add this gadget, open the Settings menu (the cog icon in a pane) and select Add gadget. From the list, choose Archived Tests. The gadget will then appear as a new tab in your pane.

Viewing Archived Tests

The Archived Tests gadget displays a list of A/B tests that have been run and archived. For each test, you can see:

  • Start date – When the test began
  • End date – When the test concluded
  • Owner – The person responsible for the test. If no tests have been archived, this area will remain empty.

Gadget Settings

Each gadget includes a small settings menu of its own. Most gadgets allow you to remove them directly, without using the “Rearrange gadgets” option. Some gadgets, like the Navigation Gadget, include additional functionality such as viewing the trash or filtering content by language. While the Archived Tests gadget is simpler, it still includes the Remove Gadget option for convenience.
