Media Gadget

In this module, you will learn about the Media Gadget in Optimizely CMS. The Media Gadget provides quick access to your media library, which is typically located in the Assets pane. By adding this gadget to the left-hand pane, you can manage and organize your media files directly alongside your editing workspace, making it easier to work with images, documents, and other files while creating or editing content.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

• Access and manage media files directly through the Media Gadget
• Navigate the media file folder structure within the gadget
• Drag and drop existing media files into your content
• Create and upload new media files from the gadget for immediate use

Location of Media Gadget

The Media area is typically housed under the Assets pane as one of the top tabs. By adding the gadget to the left-hand navigation pane, you can quickly access it without switching back to the Assets tab.

Managing Media Files

• View your media folder structure directly from the gadget.
• Organize your files into folders to keep your media library clean and structured.

Using Media in Content

• Drag and drop media files (e.g., images, PDFs, documents) from the gadget into your page or block content.
• Easily upload new media files into the folder structure for immediate use.
