By the end of the Opal for Developers fundamentals path, you can extend Optimizely Opal with your own capabilities and connect Opal's ecosystem to the tools you already use. You will choose an SDK and set up a local tool service, build and run your first custom tool, and register it in Opal, troubleshooting discovery and registration along the way. You will also understand what the Model Context Protocol is and how Optimizely uses it, and connect the Experimentation and CMS (SaaS) MCP servers to your AI client. You finish ready to build, ship, and integrate real tools.
