Comments Gadget

Accessing the Comments Gadget

You can add the Comments Gadget through the Settings → Add gadget menu, where it appears alongside other available gadgets.

Intended Functionality

The gadget is meant to provide a way to search for and view comments tied to content, projects, or reviews. Editors should be able to search for terms previously used in comments and quickly access related discussions.

Limitations

In practice, the Comments Gadget does not function as expected. Even when searching for previously added or known comments (for example, “Spring Summer 2024”), no results are returned. Because of this inconsistency, the gadget is not reliable for actual editorial workflows.

Recommendation

It is best to ignore this gadget if you encounter it in the dropdown list of available gadgets, as it does not contribute meaningfully to the editing experience.
